taught a class this morning on the finer details of how to protect yourself in the half guard so that you're attacking more than defending and escaping. when your defending and escaping, all very valuable tools, you're behind and trying to keep up. when you're attacking properly, you are ahead and winning, most of the time. i went over a key elbow hip connection i make with both the bottom and top elbows and knees. i also showed a great way to either regain the guard when you lose it all and the guy on top grabs the underhook and the crossface, or in that same scenario how to take the back.

when i am healthy enough, this is one of the first series i will be filming. i had to have a stunt double sub in for me on two of the moves as it caused a ball punching sensation when i tried to execute the move myself.
